What can counselors do?

Middle School can be challenging for many students as they begin to move towards adolescence.  Not only are they growing rapidly both physically and psychologically but they are beginning to turn more towards their peers rather than parents/guardians.

In order to build support and relationships with students throughout their middle school career, counselors: meet individually with students, work in groups with students, work collaboratively with students and teachers.

Middle School Counselors can also provide academic support, social/emotional support, and career development support.
